this is a brand new environment with :

1. new waves
2. new colors
3. new reflection maps
4. new main sun reflections
5. new storms

ps1: i have used olc's scene file as base for my tweaks
ps2: i have tweaked nori00.tga from wac3
(credits to both ... OLC and Hansolo )

important
the polygon's effect is even more reduced ( more from my previous releases ) but not eliminated ! in fact ,for my taste, they are not annoying anymore ( they are annoying only at the situations that polygons meet the main sun reflections). as my knowledge could reach ,i did everything i could or can think to totally eliminate them. if we get rid of them you will see amazing colors but now we have a lot of limitations at this point.

i will say it one more (and last ) time : because of the fact that these polygons will not show up for some days (game days) makes me think that something (some value or values) change and the reflection is screwed.i have see all the combinations of the weather day,night ,calm seas,heavy seas..without the reflection to be messed ! so i will wait till the time that a REAL moder will fix this realy annoying issue !

no screens, its a harmless (the wave's height is same as gwx) ,just run it and...enjoy !

hello speedy ! i didn't post screens becuase this procedure is realy boring for me.don't want to proof anything and i didn't ask for votes and i didn't say that is top !!(ok,ok for my taste ...it is but this is me) ( i am joking :DL)

hello irish , yes it works with gwx 2.1 and 3.0 (haven't test it with other versions but i assuming it will be ok with any version )

no need to run the 16km mod. you will run only one

Manos Environment Pro v1.1

this version has no big differences from 'Manos Environment Pro' .

changes :

1. i have add venarote's moon ( thanks to NGT ,it was his idea)
2. i changed the colours at sunset-sunrise in order to reduse the 'glitchy' look of water opposite the sun.also some tiny differences at main sun reflection during sunset.

I have a minor problem using the Manos Environment Pro is the flat sun everything is working as I can see the moon reflexing from the water at night, and I am not see the real sun coming out is the sky all I can see is a flat round sun circle and I can see the see reflexing from water.

Am I missing somthing????? I'm not using the OLC mod, and I'm still using GWX v2.1 when I've completed the whole missing I will move to v3.0 Gold Edition I just wanted to finished the mission first. I'm in July 1943 stage.

i think that you 'missed' the release of 'Manos Environment Pro' . it was the sequel to the 'manos's combi-env' .you can read the changes that i made at post 1. the 'ManosEnvironmentPro v1.1' is an update to 'Manos Environment Pro' and you can read what i have done at post 8.

disable 'manos's combi-env' and run the 'ManosEnvironmentPro v1.1' (i think is far better but this all is a theme of taste.)

try it ,and keep what you prefer most

i have test the mod at stock , at gwx2.1 , at gwx3 ,at lsh3 and at wac3 and at all versions it works perfect. i remember some time ago ,when i had released the 'combi-env-test versions',somebody had mentioned this also BUT i have no idea what is causing this but as i see that the mod is running perfect to all versions ,i am assuming that something has to do with your hardware.
note that i am running n-hancer (which i strongly recommend) on nvidia 8500gt.

i have an idea that maybe works but i have to ask you if you know how to handle s3d?

ps1: there is no need to run olc mod. the 'M.E.P. v1.1' is only an environment mod
ps2: be carefull , this mod must NOT be overwritten. to be sure ,enable it ...last .

Thanks I'll make sure the MEP is enable at the last mod, and I am trying the nhancer I've never heard this software before and I've got a ASUS NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768mb card. Question has MS release the final version of Directx 10.0 :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

you will be surprised with the performance of this programme

i have a suspect that sh3 doesn't 'like' directx 10.0 (but not sure about that)

tell me please the env mod you are currently running and you have NO problem with the sun.

for java's revenge and SpeedyPc

open with s3d the envcolors_atl.dat file and find inside there the values for SUNHALO COLOR.(note that the colors at [0] section are for the CLEAR sky)
enter [0] section and locate the sunhalocolor(in all six different situations). clic on sunhalo and then clic at the button that there is at the bottom right and heavily INCREASE the brightness . exit ,save and enable the mod again and tell me if you had any difference at sunhalo.

ps1:just to remind you,backup the original files first
ps2:for to test the changes ,be sure that you are at ATLANTIC sea with CLEAR sky

I have a geforce 6800Gt card and use nhancer.

I do see the following mods in which i can find env files.

- GWX 16km Atmosphere
- Flat sun fix for GWX 3

Herewith i haven`t problems.

I have downloaded and installed the s3d program. (never used it)
I have found the 5 section (not 6) and altered them to brightness.
Installed the MEP 1.1 back. Played a single mission. The brightened sunhalo is back.
BUT there are still problems, when in periscope view, when you are at the waterline the sun is great but when i rise the periscope full high i get the flat sun back. Merged nothing is wrong.
And the midnights aren`t dark anymore.

But i am very gratefull to you for this solution.

(i didn't can to fix this issue becuase i never experience that on my pc.)
there are actually 6 different situations (the counting is starting from 0 ,not 1 ;) )
the 'problem' with the sun halo when viewing from periscope is normal.nothing to do about it,we just live with that.

now is very important to ADJUST the sunhalo brightness(and the nights will get to normal again). for that you will start reducing the sunhalocolor ,exit,save,enable and test and again the same procedure until you find the sunhalo to be good for your taste. note that [0]=CLEAR SKY .IN THERE ARE 6 DIFFERENT SITUATIONS .THE FIRST ONE OF THESE ,WHICH IS ALSO [0] , REPRESENT THE SITUATION THAT THE SUN IS OVER YOUR HEAD ( MIDDAY ) AND AS YOU MOVING DOWN THE SITUATIONS ...YOU FOLLOW THE SUN TO HIS SUNSET . SO SET FROM THE START , SET THE SUNHALO AT [4] AND [5] SITUATION TO ZERO.(Thats for the night)

when you finish with your adjustments ...just set the same values for sunhalocolor to

[1] section. [1]=clouds on sky .

do your tests at torpedo training

you start getting now an idea of how much efforts these mods need to be complete :up:

I fixed it easer, i took the values from the env that were good.
So i altered your sunhalo values with the from gwx.

Now it`s good i think.

And yes ofcourse, you are right it are 6 values.

Let it know if it also worked for you.

But the s3d editor is a great program.
Install it and start it. Then choose in the menu file and open.
Then you search the important env file.

But i haven`t so many time to test things out.
Thought this is the quickest and easiest way.
