View Full Version : Adding Units and Waypoints to RND Layer
This is frustrating, adding a unit is ok but trying to place waypoints is a total pain!!:06: the black line that appears is nowhere near the unit and clicking to the point you want isn't either, it's all over the place, & I'm blowed if I can find a way to edit the waypoint either, can someone offer any hints?:hmmm:

Do you enable Resolution fix? Rename d3d9.dll to other name (d3d9.dll.old f.e.) and open Mission Editor. This work in 1024x768 only. Good luck! :yeah:
I use the Hi-Res mod but it is set to 1024x768, I only use it for the Prt Scr option!:yep:
Would I still have to disable it?:-?

Don't forget to enable the .dll when playing again! I'm glad it works.:salute:
Actually it doesn't, if I create a group, test the mission, save or save as when loading the RND mis file the changes haven't been made, do you have any idea what is going wrong.:cry: I will PM you.:hmmm:
Somehow I think it has something to do with the fact that it is not a scripted layer, I bet if I worked on that it would be ok, if that is the case how do you place a random group in the RND layer??:06:

These work but I think a bit much, my first patrol & I came across 2 Task forces, I sunk a fleet carrier in the first group and a Battle Cruiser in the second, was great, the whole purpose in this excersize is to get some capital ships to sink as 99% of my careers I come across none or their too fast to catch!!:doh: However this is an overkill, and yes I know it's not as it was in RL but who cares!! I want some fun!!:yeah:

If you make an RND group loop to waypoint 5 as you have then it will stay running until end date
As it also spawns after a set time limit again you will have 2 instances of the TF ingame
Then 3 and so on
But you have " DeleteOnLastWaypoint " set as true so wont loop but delete itself
