Ok, GXW is awesome. Other mods that are floating around here too.
But still, the game misses something...
Sea life. Maybe some fish here, some sea salad there, a piece of coral to the other side. Why not? By now i only see sand and mines when im in shallow water. :-?

But there are dolphins and whales! I hardly see the purpose in them, but at least they will pop up to the surface... fish are always below. Every time you add mines or dolphins, you need to create a new unit. I hardly think anyone would enjoy the fruitless task of smacking fish over the entire Atlantic. And forget about the Grand Banks!

But I think the sea floor mod (Think that's the name) will add grass or something, search it up

One of the ships in the FOTR mod is a Japanese whaler with a dead whale on deck-there's got to be a few left in the ocean somewhere! All those fishing boats aren't just bring up old boots either.:hmmm:

OK sorry. At least I didn't write something about beans and cabbage make for a lively bottom.

Have a look on the vids thread or on You Tube-most of the video makers tell you the mods they are running so if you see something you like (try the "Sink the Yamato" epic-lots of bottom shots there  ) you`ll know where to start.

Actually, i saw that video and came up with the idea :DL
As for the fish, it isnt necessary to fill the entire ocean with fish.
Just the area around the uboat in shallow water.

PS Can anyone provide a link for that grass mod? :D

I find the jalapeño MOD very good at enducing a lively bottom and it also produces an abundance of submerged & floating debris of all shapes and descriptions; speaking from experience, it most certainly is realistic too! :D

Just be sure you are not at silent running before enabling, otherwise dire consequences might ensue. :o

Ah yes, the classic jalapeño MOD was again in use last night and most certainly resulted in a very “lively bottom” both last night and today; despite my many attempts at Silent Running! Much flotsam and jetsam to be had!! :o
