I am trying to fix up the Ko-midget sub from the midget sub add on by keltos.

I have gotten the propellers to be contra rotatating, but the lack of tail fins is really evident.

I was thinking of importing the rudders from the stock game's midget, and assemble them onto the keltos model.

However when I did this, they do not actually become part of the boat.

What I did was import the whole of the game's boat into the keltos boat. Following this I deleted those parts I did not need, and kept only the rudders. Placed them where I wanted them on the preview, and tested the model only to find no fins.

I notice the added on parts in the node list are offset to the left, and do not minimize with the when the hulls node is.

I am just trying out this program and wanted to improve the minisub. I hope I did not step on anyone's toes.

Make the rudder nodes a child of the hull node, and then reposition them.

To do this, copy the id of the hull node, and paste it into the 'Parent ID' field of the rudder nodes. Additionally, the chunks should have an index that is higher than the hull node.

Study parent-child relationships of other files to see how to set it up correctly.

That did it, now it is much more complete looking.

What do you intend to do with it afterwards ?

The 3d part is easy, making the sub was tedious so don't release it for your own.

improvements are welcome but it comes from our campaign works, there it must stay.

we can discuss further if your aim is to help us in improving the sub for the coming IJN Campaign mod.

we will off course give you credit for the work you do if we include it in the upcoming campaign and single missions mod.
