hey everyone

I used to play an old version of GWX, but now I just installed NYGM 3.1. I did take some thing before I found out how to work with jsmge, but it is finally running correctly. But I still have some question:

Is the horizon in NYGM always black?

Is there a way I can lose the fatigue? In GWX I always used commander to lose the fatigue option, in the manual of NYMG it says that this option in commander should be unchecked. I don't like micro managing my crew every couple of minutes...

I tried to install the mod IABLshipsforNYMG3 mod too (using jsmge), but as soon i have installed this mod SHIII won't run anymore. When I de-activate the IABL mod again the game runs perfectly. So is the IABL mod already included in NYGM 3.1, or I am doing somethin wrong?

I tried to turn the auto-identifying of by changing the english.cfg file in the roster map (like described here on the subsim forum on the tactics forum). But every ship I encounter (both friendly an foe) are still automatically identified. What am I doing wrong.

Last question: the pictures in the left corner of the screen (navigator, radio, WO etc.) are in my game simply colored boxes with some text. Should it be like this?

Hummm at first glance I would say that you messed up your install somehow :hmm: Definately your NYGM is not working as intended :nope:

No! In fact it should NEVER be black at all. Perhaps something corrupted the 16km visibility files.

NYGM recommends unchecking that simply because it has a complex crew managing system implemented and it can be enjoyed only if the crew suffers fatigue. That said, I too hate micro-managing and hate to play U-Boat nurse instead of U-Boat commander, hence I reduced the fatigue to zero on all crew members. You can do the same manually or via SH3 Commander, shouldn't be a problem.

A good indicator that NYGM was not installed correctly. IABL ships should work perfectly, I have them installed without any problems at all as well as many NYGM users here.

Again something strange happening here. In NYGM you shouldn't get any "auto-identification" at all.

Yes. Those are Icons specifically developed by Stiebler with a well founded background. You can see why in the readme.

Anyway, you can replace them with Captain America's Icons (Optional mod included in the folder "documentation") via JGSME.

Again, I must emphasize that you have more than probably a bad install. May be you downloaded the incorrect versions and have only a PARTIAL install of the mod? Note that some of the available downloads are NOT the full version of that numbering, but instead the update from a previous version to that one. Hence being only a partial update. That could well explain some of the problems you are reporting.

I reinstalled the stock game and all the mods.

The problem with the black sky has been fixed. Auto-identify is still on however, and I also found out that I can't set my torps under 4m and also can't switch between magnetic of impact (it is always set to magnetic). I made several attempts of reinstalling, but the same problems won't disappear. The mods I am using are:
NYGM Tonnage War V2.5 – Stand Alone Version
NYGM3_1
IABLShipsforNYGM3
Harbor Traffic Add-In
Harbor Traffic Add-In 2
CaptainAmericaOfficerIcons
Thomsen's Sound Pack V3

The NYGM mods I've downloaded from TeddyBar's filefront, so I assume these files are the correct ones.

Does anyone had these problems before and knows how to fix it.
