I looked around in the other threads and didn't see a topic on this, but here is what I'd like to mod: I want to change the voice when a torpedo hits, preferably, a sound bite from Run silent, Run Deep. Are there any good voice mods for this?
I'd like to do one myself, so what programs do you use to extract the sound from a movie? and convert it and so on?

I'm currently running TM, but I really don't like the U-571 sound bites. I want more classic ones from the old sub movies.

The crew voice files are all .ogg files which, I confess, I'm not familiar with. Seeing as TMO has voice files from U-571 it obviously can be done. I know that SHIII with the GWX 2.0 mod has the crew cheer when a torpedo hits (the sound file is from Das Boot I think).

I'm guessing it's just a matter of finding the appropriate .wav file from say "The Enemy Below" or "Run Silent, Run Deep" and converting it to .ogg and connecting it to the torpedo strike sequence (that part I'm not sure about but one of the gurus here will no doubt explain how).

There used to be a Run silent sound mod, but I can't find it.
