A mod to limit the external camera?

Is there any sort of mod which limits the external cam so that it can only be used to look at your own boat? A single press of the , key locks it onto the sub of course, allowing it to be rotated around and so on, and that's great, especially for when I want to just admire my pride and joy :p
But sometimes I get tempted.... maybe I'll just press , a second time to see if that 20km-distant hydrophone contact is worth chasing. Oh a Large Merchant? Don't mind if I do!

If there was some simple way to make it so that the external camera button on the gui were disabled but that presses of the , key would still give an external view of the boat - and only the boat, that would be wonderful.

theres an edit for that by CB I think...

I tried it the last time I had SH3 up and running but had no luck with it, however I may have miss read his post.

I did have it "note paded" and saved but have recently lost all my data for 2nd time in 6 months...

good luck finding it since I stumbled on it by accident whilst searching for something else....

It's surely a willpower to resist looking at your contact in external view :yep:

However I like to force myself to disable and forget the external camera view anyway.

And I'm glad I did, f.e. I noticed that other senses of feelings comes to support if eyes can't tell you where is destroyer over your head is without external view.

The intuition and ears becomes your best two friends then, try it on couple of your careers and you will get another sort of enjoyment. I did :up:

Have done in AOD and you definitly have to build a mental picture of whats happening on the surface...

but I enjoy viewing the boat now an then when not much is happening...

Oh I already am! No external or event cams on my current career and I'm loving it. It'd just be nice to be able to look at the boat every once in a while. Ah well, it's no big deal, I can always play single missions for that.
