Here are the changes to GWX in it's latest release as listed in the manual.
The ones in bold are AFAIK unique and not released before GWX as other mods.

I'm not sure, but I suspect the manual change log is not comprehensive...right?
The open hatch mod and diving duck's type II interior fixes
New model for one of the cruisers
OLC's environmental mod (Tweaked for GWX)
New and changed radio messages
New depth charge sounds
Bug fixes for bugs in the previous version.

The AA gun training school against aircrafts is more funny, the planes start to firing with machine gun fire and bomb my boat causing a flak gunner casualty ..:dead:

The luftwaffe commander and pilots must be under arrest and in a martial court.

Aren't there new funnel smoke effects in GWX3? I thought I read (before release) that there would be.

It will replace GWX's radio messages.

Does this mean that the OLCE mod (Or parts of it) are included with 3.0, or just that the two are definitely compatible? Silly question, I know. :oops:

OLC said that it was okay to use his mod so long as you DO NOT enable the GWX 16km visibility mod first.

I didn't see any mention of "SH3_Bearing_Overlay_3.0" ? It's in there as I just discovered last night. I was getting ready to add the required .TGA to every human playable sub and just happened to open the .tga already in the VIIB...lo and behold it's already been done in GWX 3. I'm happy because that was a bit of a process in GWX2.1...renaming the .tga for each sub then moving it to that subs folder.

At least it LOOKS like Pato's SH3_Bearing_Overlay_3.0? Either way...a chore already done for me in GWX3.

I believe the differences between OLCE2 and the new GWX 16km Atmosphere mod (which is actually OLCE2 plus some tweaks) are purely visual. For example, the colour of the water is different and so are the water ripples and textures. Nothing that would affect gameplay in any way. People can enable one of them or the other based purely on visual preference and get the exact same gameplay experience.

Lehmann Intl News is included in GWX 3.0 messages and formed a fair part of the original WBNN.
I've updated WBNN to include the campaign changes that BBW has written in to GWX 3.0 - details are on my mod page below my sig.

I gotta say the planes imho are fantastic the way they attack.

I got jumped by a couple of Hurri's west of Gibraltar in early 41.

I went to external view and it was like watching a movie.

It was that good. :rock: They sped off like real fighters, in formation. Just like a clip out of Battle of Britain.

I'm beginning to see all the hard work you did on 3.0 :yep: :up:

The German commands.ini/cfg was fixed for GWX 2.1 for both the standard controls & the Integrated Orders mod. Nothing should have changed between 2.1 & 3.0, so copy the files. If both sets of files have been reverted (somehow) then there may also be a discrepancy between the used/displayed ammo for flak guns, within the IO mod, as I believe the Menu1024_768.ini is also included in the file set.

No, Nothing new as far as I'm aware, this has occurred consistently from GWX 1,3 onwards as from what I've seen, it's also the reason why I do all my hypdrophone patrol sweeps at 20 meters, and have been doing so since testing began for 2.0 :up:

That makes it stranger. In 2.1 or earlier I never got a radio message at peri depth or deeper.

For that matter in 2.1 or 3.0 I haven't put in the cfg for SHC3.1 and never had a ctd or any problem. Go figure ? :D 2.1 & 3.0 play smooth as a Ferrari's paint finish. :rotfl:

The AI Subs were reworked.

I personnaly spent over 2 days tweaking and just following them in heavy Seas
to insure they did not sink in heavy Seas.
That makes them even deadlier now!

With GWX 3.0 , SHC3.1 and jsgme, I would have paid $150.00 for SH-3 without a blink of the eye.

This is what I call a complete sim game.

Only in my imagination can I wonder what they could have done with the Code.

As soon as I've destroyed the escorts the sub went hunting for me. Lol it was looking in the wrong direction but hey thats ok.

I finished off as many cargo ships I could... But I hate dud torpedos.. man they really ruin the moment...

Their should be a sound event where the crew is pissed off because of the miss. :hmm:

I was just awarded the German Cross in Gold in November 1939.:o

Is that normal? I think in GWX 2 I never recieved one so early in the war (I think it was introduced in 1941, wasn't it?).

AFAIK, the radio message stuff has been there ages (possibly from stock, not 100% sure). The german uboats were able to receive messages on different depths, depending how far out on the Atlantic they were. The farther away from home, the closer to surface the boat had to be to be able to receive any messages.

I think there's an article at uboat.net about the system that was used to send these messages to the uboats. :hmm:

It's very strange since I only have a Typ IIa and have only sunk a handful of ships. In my Typ VII I never got one (although I had the knight's cross with oak leaves, swords, and diamonds).

I alwasys thought that GWX doesn't award the German Cross until it was available in real life (September 1941).
Btw. in real life one had to have both iron crosses to be able to get the GCG.;):know:

Wasnt the German Cross introduced because they needed something in-between the IC's and the Knight's Cross, to make the KC more "rare". Atleast, that, I think, was the situation in the Luftwaffe when Operation Barbarossa began.

you are not the only one! I hope the companies like UBI realise that despite not having such a legion of teens and kids supporting the game as with action shooters, a mature and serious community of people like us can provide almost the same benefits, plus lots of customer loyalty and support. :up:

150 bucks for one game means that UBI could have sold 33% of the copies they actually sold and win the same or....sell 3 times more and win also 3 times more. Give us a good game, and we will gladly pay for it :yep:

I hope the companies like UBI realise that despite not having such a legion of teens and kids supporting the game as with action shooters, a mature and serious community of people like us can provide almost the same benefits, plus lots of customer loyalty and support. :up:

150 bucks for one game means that UBI could have sold 33% of the copies they actually sold and win the same or....sell 3 times more and win also 3 times more. Give us a good game, and we will gladly pay for it :yep:
