Make your own emblems?

Can anyone tell me how it's done? Obviously it has to be in tga format but what program is recommended? I found this great wolf pic (see below) from my old BattleTech stuff and would love to see it on the side of my Type IXC! :D

Nero can convert picture files to any format once its a TGA just place it in the subEmblems folder in sh3 :up:

So, once it's in the subemblems folder, how do you get it to show in game?

Just name it for the sub that your currently using?

I think once it's in the folder it should just show up in the "Specials" list in the Upgrade screen... I'm not 100% on that... but I just bought and am downloading Nero now so I'll have an answer in about 30-45min. ;)

Drag and drop it to your emblem folder in Silent Hunter 3\data\ Emblems\SubEmblems\

I've just made the wolf head nothing else.

Two ways on the sub upgrade screen in port chose it from the list
Or go to my docs sh3 data.. cfg… careers your user name then careers0 scroll down to the bottom of the doc then work your way back up to E01=data/emblems/subemblems/(add here the name you have called the emblem)

...turned out pretty sweet actually... now I just need to find a black skin for a IXB/C and I'll be set!

@Wolfehunter - Clan Wolf. Since I got this to work I think I'm going to make a complete set of all the BattleTech Clans/Houses... They had some pretty cool emblems!:up:

Thats cool dude. Ya I had a memory error for a moment. I haven't play battletech in over a decade table top with lead and pewter pieces. I used to paint the madcat and other clan mechs. I loved the elemental clone dudes. They where fun to paint a play with.

@Wolfehunter - Glad I wasn't the only one with that obsession back in the 90's! :D

So now that I figured it all out - I'm going to put together a pack of emblems... some more modern stuff (ie not exactly historically accurate) stuff like the BattleTech logos (really cool designs), some car logos (who wouldn't want to put a Cobra emblem on the side of their VII! :rock: ), etc, etc... I used to do graphic design for a auto shop so I've got tons of clipart... any requests or suggestions for what people would want?

IMHO, just make emblems with all the images you want and like. then put them in a pack and release them. If you start asking, you will have an endless list and you will never finish. :yep:
In general, people here like some emblems, others don't, some like R/L emblems, others don't.
So, good look and if you release them, i will be very glad to add them to my game.:up:
