IJN sound mod version 1.3 released

It's harder than it sounds ;)

but here is the start of the sound environment for the Jyunsen B mod version 3.0.

This mod includes Real Life IJN submarine sounds from the I-10 :


A new music theme

A new periscope sound

A new diesel engine sound

A new electric engine sound

and it's only a start !

edit :have to work more on it apparently, will check then release those files.

diesel/electric boat is diesel electric ;)

yeah, just here the beat is slower on the engine, and the electric a tad different

Sounds checked in game, all ok this time :)


I will keep adding sounds to this mod from the same movie Gochin, as they are the only ones remaining of a japanese submarine, the only other RL sounds I know of are from a sonobuoy that recorded the sinking of I-52 in the Atlantic.

These sounds might not be the cleanest of sounds or the prettiest, but they are real life wartime sounds from a real japanese submarine, which is more than I could've hoped for.

Hopefully we'll get Kimuraijn to help us with the japanese speech files, that or I'll have to go to the japanese embassy in Brussels ! :o

Please use media fire FileFront is no longer a safe place to upload files, they lowered their time limit for files to a month so things get deleted fast.
