I know HMS Onyx suffered some damage during the Falklands/Malvinas War. Anyone has pics of that boat during the war or after it (specially in dry dock)?

Thanks in advance!

Try asking your question on www.submariners.co.uk and I give you a 20/1 odds you may get what you are looking for.The submarine operations down south are still not widely discussed.

I found this on the site which details the damage, but no photos

Linton, Book, thanks for the replies.

I know there is still secrecy about UK submarine operations during the war, and I donīt know why: so much time passed under the bridge. Even the boats are retired now (some, as the Onyx, are museum pieces!)

Itīs like being in the ī70 and still keeping the secret about "the mistery submarines which damaged the Tirpitz"

Ok, I have this image of the HMS Onyx returning from the war.

Note the Jolly Roger.

Why? For sinking the LSL Sir Galahad (a british ship!) or for inserting commandos in the Argentine mainland?

In any case, the HMS Conqueror used a dagger symbol to "celebrate" her SAS disembark mission.
