I have completed a 1x patrol back in August.

and i got to thinking... when GWX4 comes out - what do you think of a 1x career? :huh:

Realistically limited to like 8 patrols of course... starting out in 1939, with something like 25 days between patrols in real time.

now THATS hard core!

I've never been a fan of full 1x patrols, because I don't find them more realistic, since I'm not actually experiencing shipboard life.

But enough negativity. Spending the actual time between patrols not playing? Yeah, that's hardcore alright!:dead: But still an interesting idea.

If I thought I could get away with being mindlessly plastered in French night clubs for 3 weeks between patrols in RL without a peep from the g/f, I could go for that!

Yes, I think 1X patrols (and obviously careers) are for the *coughs* older and/or well-heeled Kaleuns. For the rest of us - at the 'coal-face' so to speak, I just wish real life did not get in the way of our efforts quite so much ;)
