Is there away to remove just the screams from the sound effect heard when a ship is blowing up? It kinda takes away from my immersion when I can hear the screams above the explosions (and at periscope depth).

I don't recall it in "stock" and my kids have definitely picked up on it (which I don't like).

Groomsie is right it's not in stock. It's a sound mod, so what sound mods do you have installed Tomoose? The way to remove it would be to uninstall the sound mod, remove the explosion sound from the mod and reinstall the mod.

I'm running TMO 1.4 for ver 1.4 plus RSRD. I don't want to remove either cuz they're excellent mods. It's just the screaming which I find a tad unrealistic in that you can hear it from far away (and underwater).:-?

PM him and ask for what you want to do, he can tell you which file it is and you just delete that file. it wont change anything with the mod but the sound will be the stock version for that explosion.

I'd like it as a ringtone for my cell.

Look for the Following in the sounds folder : P06 Splinter Explosion.

Thats what file contains the screaming. If you remove it you will lose the entire explosion SFX as well as possibly cause a CTD. If you can find one you like without that simple name it the same and replace.

if it replaces a stock file of the same name then there should be no ctd but if it is a new added file by the mod and the mod will ctd without that file, then find a stock file that has the right sound (chances are the stock file it replaces would have almost the same name so that should help you find it) make a copy of that file and rename it exactly the same as "P06 Splinter Explosion" and use it to replace the one in the mod.

1. Uninstall TMO
2. Go into the mod's folder \Data\Sound\
3. Delete P06_#Splinter_explosion.wav
4. Re-Install TMO

Done in about 1 minute.
