Hello everyone - how are you all? Long time no visit.. yes, I am well thank you, tail-wags.
Now then... I reformatted my C: drive yesterday ( I do it about once a year to keep down the crud), and that meant, although I keep my games on another drive, that I had to re-install SH3 again so it is properly registered. Fine. Not a problem.
I fired it up in its original OOB state to see if nHancer had sorted out the failings of my nVidia card. It had - bootiful it were. Odd thing tho, I started a career as Player, and discovered that I was not starting a new mission but in the middle of a previous one, and working from Wilhelmshaven. That foxed me as I thought the savs were parked on the C: drive, and I wiped that. However, they might have been moved to where I send all my docs, which would explain it perhaps.
Well while I was in the game, there were details that I enjoyed all over again from the pre-GWX version, and I wondered if it might be possible to run two current copies of the game - one vanilla and one enhanced with GWX.
Just to see if it would run, I shut down vanilla and went into the GWX folder that I had been running from pre-reformat, and fired it up to see if it would also run. I chose the same profile as in the other game, and found it also picked up from that - so I guess they are both using the same refernce for savs ( makes sense).
I would like to continue running both games, so if I choose a new career and new profile in the vanilla version so the savs don't conflict, do you think that will work?
You can run many installs
I have 4 plus spare stock
WAC
NYGM
GWX
LSH3
Just remember which career goes with which
Or use multiSH3 which do it for you
I have 4 install SH3commander to so each get cfg files

I keep the sh3com folders in the mainfolders of the sh3 versions they suppose to be used with. Keeps my games neat and structured with a marginal possibility of errors moving stuff around or backing them up.

Hello Kipparikalle - I find your name interesting, is it the name of something or unique to you I wonder?
Thank you Jimbuna :)
The name comes from a good old, only true- badass character of the time.
He sails all the seas, beating all kind of super-omega huge & pissed off monsters.
He gets all his badass-superpowers by eating spinach
Heres small picture of him: http://trip.ee/files/pictures/picture-4092.gif
If I would deliver any bigger picture, he would probaly punch my face all the way throught my head.
Oh, and also. Welcome back Frau Kaleun
Nice to meet you

Is that what he's called in your part of the world? Cool!
His creator called him Popeye.

There's also a finnish version of that song, had the same lyrics but...in finnish
I would watch this cartoon for ever, its epicly awesome compared to nowadays metrosexual-hip hop-happyhour no-one-gets-hurt-crappy-cartoons.
I know this, my little sister and brother watches the Cartoon Network, the stuff that is shown is quite frigging horrible...and same time, somehow hypnotising.
Sailor Steve

That's the point, isn't it - hypnotise them into watching the show and buying the products?
The old, comic-violent and highly irreverent cartoons were indeed the best: Popey, Betty Boop, all the Warner Brothers stuff.

KK, thank you for the high status you have generously awarded me, but I must refute your assessment; I am not a bit awesome, not even the teensiest bit.
If you saw how inept I am in ordering my crew around, even when I wear my very best green wellies, you would quickly change your mind - but thank you anyway! Mwah!! (hug) :sunny:
