I have tried to improve on the sound effects.
In this version I have made the sound clearer, louder and I have attempted to introduced the effect of the high energy Asdic beam rebounding off the hull of the U-Boat.
This sound is the closest I have heard to that described by the men in the U-Boat Waffe.

This is a great sound. I have to admit, it might take a while getting used to, but as far as recreations go this sounds like a solid effort and at least more consistent with what I've read about the real sounds of this thing...

Only got around to downloading this last month, and up until the past week, I hadn't really gotten a chance to experience this little mod. I've got to say that these sounds really do add quite a bit to evasion for me.

What was another description used? Something along the lines of "pebbles being rolled around in a tin can"? Well, those aren't here, but "sledgehammer blows" banging off the hull... finally!

So, I hate hearing these sounds, but when I do, this is how I want 'em :DL

The sound of pebbles hitting the hull was just one description of how the Asdic sounded in the U-boat.
I have read various descriptions, the one I made was one that I thought those who use SHIII would find the most accurate and disturbing.
I am most pleased with my BritishAsdicMkIFinal version, the one that is in my link.
