If you are running SH4 in Vista that could be it.

Running Vista x64 bit, and no problems with taking screenies. Try print screen for the heck of it. I just checked, and I have over 200 screenshots in the folder for SH4.

I don't have Vista but there are a few posts in here with the same problem and I believe it was Vista not allowing the save to happen, even though the game will. Hylander says he doesn't have the problem, maybe it's different in 64, or maybe in a setting on the computer. You can try a search for Vista and save and may find something. I know I have heard this problem before, and I think it might have something to do with the default install location in Program files, just trying to go from memory, and that's broken most of the time .

Hoversnap (http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm) will take care of those problems. It's about halfway down the page at the link.

Give it a try, it's free. It'll let you save to any folder you want to and you have the option to save the entire screen, the active window or a custom defined section of the screen. You can map it to your Print Screen key and press away to your heart's content without having to fire up any graphics programs.

One thing I should have mentioned, since there were so many folks posting problems with Vista, I opted to set my games up to run in compatability mode, by right clicking on the "exe" file in the game's directory, and going to the compatability tab, then selecting XP with SP2. It has helped with most if not all the quirks that folks were complaining about. So you may wish to try that if you haven't yet.

Hope it helps!
