In SH3 we had permanent storms and bad weather, but now in SH4 we have dominantly fair weather. Apparently this is unconnected to the latitude (Region) where you are playing, and I now find myself sailing out of Bergen in December with fair weather, calm seas....and bright sun :damn:

Isn't there something that can be done to get the proper overcast weather during the whole winter in northern latitudes? :shifty: Not permament storm, but overcast a bit of hard seas is the normal status in the ice-cold North Sea and North Atlantic during a good part of the year :hmm:

It's the way the ENV stuff is setup.
Can it be fixed?
Early tests say Yes.
Is it a lot of work?
Again, early tests say Yes.
Can it REALLY be done?
I spent most of today proveing it is possible.
And you end up with different area effects.
The Med is the Med.
The Atlantic is the Atlantic.
And so forth and so on.

Well I guess I can call your message a "consolation prize"

Hope it gets solved somewhen by one of the talents around here

George Bush does! Remember Katrina? He set his Weather Machine to "High."
