Just got this game

Hi, I bought this game this week, and overall, I am impressed with it. It seems like a good game with great re-playability. I started looking around online and I see some players have surface ships. I see they are seperate downloads. What ships are available(Fingers crossed for a Bismarck or Tirpitz) and what do I need besides stock SHIV to play with such monsters?

It depends on what the vessel was build.
If it uses a fleet boat then it works with SHIV V1.4, if it uses a Uboat then you will probably need the expansion set.

Hi, and welcome! You're probrably better off purchaseing the U Boat Mission addon for the game. Not only dose this add U Boats to the PTO for historic Indian Ocean operations, but it upgrades the game to v1.5. Most of the major mods are geared, or will be geared towards v1.5. Well I have been having a blast in the Bismarck in Career mode. Here is pictures of the last "cruise" I did. I did not complete the mission however, as I was sunk :(

Then came my first cruiser.

I sank it in one shot from one turret. That is what happens when I take over fire control:know: Look at that beautiful shot placement:rock:

Then came my seccond cruiser:

This was my seccond to last ship sunk by the KMS Bismarck. Unbeknownst to me, the next ship in the line was the USS Wisconson. She opened fire on me. I had three sixteen inch shells go into my first turret. This was the result:

This all happened in semi-shalow water. I believe I would want to dive on this wreck(s). Three ships within sight of each other.
