Gustav knocked out our power until just before 4:30 pm yesterday. We have a generator, but I couldn't run my computer on it. So no Internet access until the power came back.

And what do I find??? All hell has broken loose!!! I don't know what happened to my Filefront site! My login still works, so I don't think they thought Gustav blew me away. And it shouldn't have been their delete policy because they don't tag everything at the same time. Since you have 4 days to tell them not to delete something, it is possible some would've been deleted during the 9 days I was offline. But not everything!

I'm going to find out what I can, and if necessary, start uploading everything again. I just ask everyone to please bear with me for the time being. I have a lot of other stuff to catch up on because of being offline so long, but if need be, I can upload while I'm doing it. I just need to find out first if I have to.

Well we did lose 1 tree, and a carport that had survived Katrina.

As I wrote in the radio thread: how about joining BtS forum and get your mods hosted there? There is no risk of BtS deleting your mods. So click my sig to get there. As soon as you're joined, then post a request for FTP access, and you can upload all your files in one process.

But will people have to join the forum too to download?

For the moment, it ain't requiered. At first, it was, but if you try go look here on the main page:
http://www.bts-mods.com/
Then click on files, and if you choose mine, you'll see that you can dl straigt away.

But it's also a nice cosy little forum with more, so why not just join?
Of course, only registered users can have mods hosted, and you'll be asked to give some sort of support in your own little subforum for your own mods.

It's beginning to look like more than a purge. My account is locked. I can't upload! I can still log into my account, so I haven't been "banned," which is what's supposed to happen if some busybody accuses you of copyright infringement or uploading porn, neither of which I did. And no notice or warning was sent. At all!

I'm still waiting to hear back from them. If for some reason I can't use Filefront any more, I may have to try Carotio's suggestion. If they don't mind my using up, at the moment, a little under 30GBs in 140 files? I can lower the file count by using 512MB sized parts for the radio stations instead of 256MB ones.

It wouldn't surprise me if somebody did that with FF.

Anyway, if you have 30GB of music/radio? Then it shouldn't be a problem. Though for downloaders with less fortunate connections, I wouldn't recommend using huge RARs, then better divide them in parts of 100mb. But we can discuss details at BtS. When you're set up, you can use a direct link to either the main page or a thread in the BtS forum whereever you want: here at SS, at Ubi or in other forums.

Well that explains my blank RSS feed:

Unbelievable! Terminated without notice. That's pretty rotten.

Then you just found out about Ike. Batten down the hatches mate.

If you look at Ike's path, it's going to turn and move up the Mississippi, so I'm thinking flooding here.
