Textures changing tutorials

Can anyone direct me to any textures edit tutorials please ? I have never worked with editor so if there are any "step by step" tutorials for noobs...

This is not what I meant. I need lessons how I can extract textures from the game files, what format they are, how to upload them again to the game etc.

I work with photoshop from 10 years so I don't need ps tutorials but thank you for yours links, would be usefull in future too
