Watch in amazement as John McCain condemns Russia for having the temerity to cross an international boundary — “in the 21st century, nations don’t invade other nations.”

We all recall, of course, John McCain’s outrage when the United States violated this rule back in 2003.

John McCain had every right back then. Only a cease fire was in place. We were still at war from Kuwait. Surrender terms were not adheared to, so going in was perfectly legal.

Its funny how people easily forget when it doesn't suit their views.

Odd, I don't recall Congress issuing a Declaration of War on that one.

Did they not approve the use of troops prior to going back in, in 2003? Even Hillary voted for it! :D Amazing how people forget when its convienient.

You guys can sit and spin it anyway you want, looking for a foothold, but that still won't change what happened.

Approval for Combat Operations is a far cry from a Declaration of War. All that is is a nominal commitment to fund said operation. Not that it really matters on the ground. Who voted for it makes it no less a waste of blood.

That reminds me of back when I was a kid. My brother and I used to fight each other a lot. My mother, using mother-specific logic, would cuff me upside the head and say "Don't hit your brother! We don't hit in this family?"

Mother logic ya gotta love it.

Just remember that, like Skybird, you look at things American through the smoked glass of a foreign press, or worse through the tinted lens of our election year press.

I've been following American politics for a lot longer than this election year, in fairness. From both outside and in.
