I see the R.U.I.M. thread got it, and it has less than 25 messages and 1300 views. So how does it work?

Popularity or usefulness of information I think its a varying criteria
of worthiness. theres ways to tie yourself to the thread in your
user control panel if it doesnt get stickied.

They don't trash 320 gigabyte hard drives. I'm crying, looking at my formerly unimaginably huge Monster drive. It has your name all over it. I dread the thought of the consequences if all your great music library were easier to find. Personally I set up an RSS feed of your FileFront site and check it a couple times per week for new stuff. I'm sick, I know.
For the record, and at the risk of any future equipment I may connect to my computer, I ask that the moderators give Fred a stickied thread for his radio and phonograph files.

I concur. I use them all the time, and they're just as valuable of a mod as any other.

Sometimes the creater just asks for a stickie. Sometimes the thread is so popular that it gets stickied. Looking at the sticked thread mentioned, not many posts. Does not mean it should not be sticked. A lot viewed the thread, yes. Dig a bit deeper, and see how many times the mod has been downloaded. Looks like just over 200 times since it was stickied. Shows a lot of interest and worthy of a stickie for a while. So, do we grade a thread on how many posts to warrant a stickie or do we look at content as it relates to the game. Personally, I look more at content. Also, many had issues with the uniform in the unmodded game. Here is a all in one, cover all uniform mod that looks darn good. Needs a stickie.
Now, about the phonograph mod. Direct me too it and lets take a look.

Well, I think my Radio Stations and Music Mods meets the criteria you mentioned. Over 16,000 views to date; except for the MBS station and latest add-ons, the downloads for the stations and the music are in triple digits. A few of the music files are approaching 1000! As for content, well over 20 GBs enough? :D And I'm still adding stuff!
The link is in my sig, if you want to check everything out.

Done is done:up: Sometimes I do not see the forest for trees. However my hearing is good and the squeeky wheel gets the oil. Just squeek louder next time. :D
Now, my music folder is empty and I'm going to load up your music. Thanks for the efforts.

There are so many great mods coming out, it won't be long we will need a separate forum for the 'stickies'

Eventually they will all have to go into one thread. It is hard to keep up with all the updates and such unless the creater advises me to update a link or what have you. Most times a small mod does wonders for the game and this mod with the creaters permission gets pulled into a larger mod. This helps in controlling a mass of stickied threads.

I suppose I should come clean and admit openly that I started this thread in a sneaky, back-handed, back alley, silent running, but perhaps not as subtle as I hoped way to perhaps get my radio and music stickied. When I saw this morning that R.U.I.M. had been, I had to find out why, and why mine wasn't.
So a very big Yamato class thank you to you for giving me a sticky!!!

Hey, not all of us had/have monster hard drives! Ask my old 120GB PATA hard drive, it literally threw curses at me when I installed your CBS radio mod! :rotfl:

I have had music in there and actually downloaded some of your music. However, I did a complete system re-install. Plus, various beta of this and that. Next thing you know I'm reinstalling a fresh copy of the game, etc. Hard to keep up with it all.

I reinstall all the time Warhawk, and I know starting from a re-install this dosn't help, but the music folder seems to be fine with being copied from a old install and just placed back when your done with the new install. Even if you have the RAR's it still save time and space.
I guess the music mods are the first thing I install

my 2 cents:
while many mods deserve to be stickied, there is not enough room for that on the general forum page and stickies should be limited to large mods
and highly sought after info or the forum will be completely filled with just stickies.
there is a *** List of Modifications *** sticky where downloadable mods should be listed.

sadly the thread has been lost without Gizzmoe to keep it up to date and accurate.
if someone had the time to devote to it the whole community would be better able to find the mods you want.

Like I stated Webster, it is hard to keep up unless changes are PM'd to me with the link of what needs to changed. I have no issue keeping up with it all as mods come flying out the door all the time. All I ask is a PM stating what needs to be done. I will get it done on one thread.

i wasnt implying any lack of effort on your or any moderators part, just expressing how hard it is to balance limited resources with all the data.
i didnt mean to step on any toes suggesting someone might want to volunteer to take over that thread.
