[REL] Wolfehunter's IXB U-40

[Wolfehunter]

Hello Sailors. I bring you a new Type IXB skin that I converted from IXA U-40 originally.

Inspired by Lutzows photos I found this one to be interesting.

Hmmm almost the same!

I've finally finished the sub. She's a converted A to B Type 9 U-boat. Camo pattern reflects U-boat U-40 as shown above.

I did what I could for the limit of the UV Mapping done on these models.

Her deck is new and wooden. May not appeal to everyone but I like something new once and a while.

IXB isn't a slick as IXC but that depends on which skins she's wearing. :yep:

Last but not least her conning deck looks very realistic to the nake eye.....:huh: In game terms dudes. :up:

I'm trying very hard to replicate the camo patterns. On this side it looks great.

This side it doesn't. UV mapping isn't great. So I'm going to ask you guys should I leave the camo like this that one side looks almost perfect or try to do something close as possible but make both sides look good? I'll let you guys decide. :up:

Camo on the turm ... what You want from this camo?
For me - perfect reconstruction:up:

However i saw that You have the same problem with camo as me -
on the left side of turm. Problem for IXB only.
Another game bug - authors of game makes
only one paint for each sub and this is far away from any camouflages.

If I ever have a 4x4 pickup I would have her all nicely messed up from a nice outdoor trailer ride hehehe in the woods.

For my uboats. Well I can't have them all nicely washed.... They have to look used and abused.

Thanks for you comments. I've been tweeking the camo on the Conning tower and I believe I've almost have it down. One small fix and that is done.

Looks good there Wolfehunter! I'll be working on some more skins soon too, just got to find the time :-? Once I start one, I don't stop till it's finished, and that can sometimes be longer than I hope for. Haha
