Is it only me that realy hate this port? It takes forever to get out since you must play at X1 i time speed :damn:

I just plot the course through the middle of the bay (check the droppable map for mines and nets if you play GWX), set speed to 1/3 and tc to 8x. When it drops to 1X due to spotted airplanes, just set it back to 8. No problems for me there.

Download SH3 Commander & you can set the "proximity to land" time compression speed to whatever your computer can handle. There's a member here called Wolfehunter. If you search for threads started by him, he has a Filefront page & it has the latest (and last) version of this add-on for the game. SH3 Commander works for both stock & modded versions of SH III. There is a way to manually set time compression without using SH3 Commander but I've forgotten how to do it.

You could also try WAC3.0
In our mod Lorient has been replaced to the correct location (a few Km nearer to the sea).
Have a look at our manual where is described which main harbours have been reworked!

Look like a very nice mod there HanSolo78,

I have to take a look at it after this campain. Guess i cant have your mod and GWX 2,1 at same time installed

Yes, you can. But not in one Sh3 install! You have to make 2 installations at least. One for each supermod.

SH3Commander gives you the option to start patrol out of port. Saves the aggravation of manuevering around at slow TC. I just started my first patrol out of Lorient and it starts you out by the island near the inlet going into Lorient. It's a breeze getting out.

I guess I've always been the odd one. I like the ports so much, I think it's fun to spend a whole session just sailing out of port and looking at the sights.:sunny:
