NYGM loading questions!

I understand the XXIII is now fully playable in NYGM, i have been to teddys filefront page and see many differening nygm files.

Which files are needed for this addon, and which are the upgrades??

You need to start with a clean install of SH3 + Ubisoft Patch 1.4b.
That does not necessarily mean that you have to remove your existing game + mods, just make a second installation of SH3. This is very easy if your hard-drive is partitioned into several smaller drives (C:, D:, E:, ...).

Download NYGM2.5Fulon (full version) from my signature below, and unzip it with 7-zip (some people have reported difficulty with unzipping using WinRAR). It unzips to give you the folder 'NYGM Tonnage War V2.5 Standalone version'.
Copy the unzipped folder into your silenthunteriii\mods folder.

Then download NYGM3_0.7z, and unzip it also to your silenthunteriii\mods folder.

If you look inside the 'documentation' folder contained with version 3.0, you will find another folder called 'FuMB37XXIIINYGM'. Copy this folder also into your silenthunteriii\mods folder.

Optionally, if you want to see Iambecomelife's new merchant fleet, also download file IABLShipsforNYGM.7z, and unzip it to your folder silenthunteriii\mods. [This is not necessary just for the XXIII U-boat action.]

Now use JSGME to install *in this order*:
1. NYGM Tonnage War V2.5 Standalone version (= NYGM2.5Fulon)
2. NYGM 3.0
3. (optionally) IABLshipsforNYGM.
4. FuMB37XXIIINYGM (only after October 1944).

You should only install the last item (FuMB37XXIIINYGM) if you are playing a career or mission after October 1944.

To play a Type XXIII boat in NYGM:
1. Carry out steps 1-4, as above. (3 is optional.)
2. Start a new career in *1945* (the only time you can select a XXIII boat).
3. Select the 13th Flotilla at Stavanger (Norway). This will automatically provide you with a Type XXIII boat all equipped for a patrol. Read the NYGM3.0 manual before playing. The XXIII boat requires different tactics from the older boats (II,VII,IX).

Playing with the XXIII is a fabulous experience! Good luck!
