Hey everyone,
Back with a beauty, if I do say so. The U-123 was historically an IXB, but I've done both the B and C here. I've also done two schemes. The first is a red-orange hull version, and then the black hull. So you have alot of choices here with this skin, you can use it as just a B or C or use both, or have one red and one black hull.

This is where I got the idea from, I have to thank Lutzow for posting this picture over a year ago in a conversation with Wolfehunter. I love this scheme! I looked around, but I don't think he ever did this skin, so I had to. :D Lutzow, do you have anymore of this kind of picture? Or know where I could find some camoflage profiles on the internet?

I gotta say I had some fun working on this skin. I took it out for a test drive on my "test convoy" in single mission, and she looked awesome going flank speed through the center column. Hope you all enjoy it! :D Please, let me know what you think.

Pictures posted by me in that thread i found during exploring the net.
Some of them was inside the books. I posted there ALL pictures presenting u-camos, which i founded...

Now You have small problem;), because there is A LACK of photos

This is strange - why there is no book with all u-boat camos from

Well thanks anyway Lutzow, I really appreciate it! I did grab some of the other pictures off of that post, the other 2 that really peaked my interest were the U-556 and U-25. Honestly the U-25 was my first attempt at doing a skin on here. (Bad choice for a first skin!) I got everything done up to the sharks mouth on the conning tower, and after hours of trying, I just ran out of patience. Maybe I'll dig that one back out and play around, but the conning tower is hard to skin due to the game having 2+ mirrors on it, no just one. I'll get around to some of those other boats. I'm honored to have some skins in your vault mate.

@Starlion- Thanks for the link, I've seen that book before. I've actually looked through it before, it does have quite a few profiles in it, but all the places that are around here want 60-100 for that... guess maybe it's out of print?

@Everyone else- I really do appreciate the support and comments! Thanks alot!

Thank you Barkhorn, I added those to my growing collection of pictures. I'll try and find some time to get one done early this week, been really sick the past week or so, but I've been trying when I can.

I don't mean to criticise, but I prefer the red hull of your U-869 skin, although it may not be as realistic (not sure), I just find this red too bright for my tatse! Is this a hint ... Yes!!
Cheers.

Understandable mate. I certainly can see your point. The only reason I made it the bright red-orange was to be a little different (Orange is also one of my favorite colors). Granted it is a little brighter than the picture I was working with, but I just wanted something to stand out a bit from the rest of my skins. That's kind of why I made 2 skins for it, because I knew that not everyone would like the bright red orange. Don't worry, if I make any more red bottoms, they'll be dark red like the u-869, the u-123 was a one-of-a-kind type thing.

I read in a few books over the weekend that there were none to very few U-boats that even had red hulls after the war started, as most were either dark or light grey, and some even blue. But not everyone wants the plain drab looking u-boat.

Thanks Lutzow. That was actually one of my reads in determining that red hulls were rarely used during the war, as the paint just became few and far between, and they didn't want to drydock a ship in good order to repaint below the waterline (very understandable). I also read somewhere, can't remember where, about a German Uboat report saying only 10 or so uboats had red hulls... so who knows. when you have so many black and white photos.... red, purple, orange, blue, green, or yellow are all grey. Haha :D
