Will it be single mission compatible only? Or do you plan on a campaign?

Since it is posted at this forum section, most likely missions only. sigh. I'd love to drive one of those on campaings. Even if it would be on the wrong side of the war, i just play games for fun.

*Edit* for the love of, now i got that ugly image >.<

You drink a bit too much last night walter? You are looking quite lovely today.:rotfl::rotfl:.

Well, I keep getting asked the same question about Campaign, I guess I may have to change the way I do things. But the missions are not really set up for surface ships. If you want to go around shooting stuff I did do a mission with a Refit station at Wake Island. you could go around Midway and Pearl and basically anywhere you want and shoot warships and merchants and then go back to Wake to reload and refuel. I know you won't get that lovely medal but since this crazy game doesn't keep a running total like some games, I didn't think the Campaign was a big deal. It's not like you have to go back to pick different torpedos. So you can play it like a Campaign, all the campaign traffic is loaded with a single mission.

I happen to like the interiors of the Fleet boats and I am used to working with those files. I even set up a folder with all the stuff I need to make a ship playable, so it gets easier each time. And one big reason is that I didn't have the add-on when I started modding. I have never done this before so I had to learn where everything is and how it all links together. So to change over to German, means starting over.

The Iowa will work in Campaign but you need to set up a flotilla and assign missions etc. So there is some work involved. I had an idea for a surface ship Campaign but haven't seen much as far as comments about people using the ships, so I don't know if it's worth doing. And right now, I don't know how to handle the damage modelling stuff, so that part isn't working right.

But, like I commented above you don't need to write a mission everytime you want to do something, just use the refit station and go wherever you want.

I have a Japanese Campaign partially done but with the add-on everyone started using German subs to build the boats because they could sail from German ports. So I didn't see that coming. My mistake.

If I can find the time, I am going to try something different this time and make a war patrol, and you can go to different ports and get assigned a new mission. One problem is once to trigger a zone you can't reuse it. So going back to the same port will not get you a new mission.

I did find that the Kongo for some reason is not as accurate in shooting as the other ships I did. I don't know why.

And I don't think people realize all the time it take to do a Campaign. There are a lot of files that need to be changed. And for surface ships it's even more difficult, I don't think you want to attack six destroyer alone. The AI ships seem to be a lot more accurate in shooting that these ships are, I don't know what causes the difference.
