Guys,
This has probably been said a few times before, but can the 76mm take out ground based SAM installations? Speaking of which, can it hit buildings? I don't think the rounds have every destroyed one that i can remember?

The 76mm in ground bombardment is somewhat unreliable. I've killed buildings with it before, but I've also seen rounds land almost squarely on target and do nothing, and that's with LwAmi-3.08.
Lately, though, I haven't had that problem. My setup is DW v1.04, LwAmi-3.08, and the Sakura-1.2 mod.

If its something like a SAM site or SSM site I just change a land based target to a sea based one on the nav map and send it a couple SM-2s and say there were in Anti-Radar mode. :know:
SAMs have been used in strike roles in Vietnam and the Falklands. :yep:

That works ingame? I thought the FC radar needed a solid return, otherwise it wouldn't launch.

That works ingame? I thought the FC radar needed a solid return, otherwise it wouldn't launch. It does. The STIR and CAS can get a solid return on just about anything as long as its classified at a aircraft, heli, missile, or surface ship. :know:

I understand the thought, that's not so much the problem, i'm looking to utilise the 76mm for something other that anti-shipping, also, land based SAM's have no Defense against incoming 76mm shells, i guess the same as they would have against an incoming sm-2.
While we're on land attack targets, I know it's quite easy to change the standing Harpoon to include land-attack capabilities, but is there any moves to include this in an up-coming patch?
