[WIP] Uboat skin pack

Well, some of the textures are converted from my SH3 mod, and some are reworks of the existing dds textures from the uboats, well it is the models introduced in OM. If newer and better models are created by the sub naval community, my skins may very well change. But this is sofar the current version:

It seems the deckgun has been placed further back closer to the tower in OM than it was in stock SH3...

It seems lurker has made the 23 playable, and I happened to have made a skin for it in SH3 too, so here's one:

My only comment about the Type23 is that the "white stripes" you have are for the "Training Flotillas" and Combat units didn't have them and also I read some where that those stripes are "yellow" not white.

Yeah, maybe, but when the 23 mod was original released, it wasn't playable, but just harbour eye candy, and that was when I did my skin.

Historically speaking, there maybe shouldn't be those stripes then for a combat boat. But then again: it's equipped with two torpedos only and no deck gun. How much combat can it see? I wonder if it wasn't just used as "recognesance" (sp)

None of my uboat skins are historically justified, I just like the colors. If it's historically correct skins you want, I'm sure Koondawg, -SWcowboy and yamato will start sooner or later to skin some.

I didn't interpret your remark as disrespect, of course not. Referring to these other skin modders, well, I know that at least -SWcowboy is aware that he can start skinning SH4 uboats now.

But, lurker, try look at my IXb skin, which was made out of the original SH3 texture. Did you place the deckgun further back on purpose in OM?

Now that I think about it:

when looking at the boats, all of them actually it seems the towers are placed further back too and not just the deckgun.
looking at the VII, the deck is wider at the middle, but where is the tower? further back compared to this wide part.

not that it matters regarding skin making though...
