All of below using the last upgrade to SH4 with the latest TM and RSRD modifications:
1. What happened to the UMark? Some folks dislike it, others want it. How can one restore it to the modified program?
2. Once in the Conning tower if one sweeps a view around, you end up in the dark ocean outside the sub with a message "Camera out of sectors." with no ability to recover. Not brilliant that.
3. Has anyone developed better sub skins than these? Compared to SH3 Grey Wolves, these US units are dreadfully, inartfully crude.
4. Any hope of something like SH3 Commander that might come close to rescuing this sim from its low level of complexity? Where's JScones when we need him?
5. Finally - but not the last objection - why are all the humans so dreadful? As I mentioned in an earlier comment, they all look like flabby, unshaven street thugs...and some have black fingernails.
After years of working with SH3 and its fully developed supermods, and delaying any contact with SH4 until it may have 'matured', this is a great disappointment even with these two modifications. Sorry Neal, but that's a legitimate opinion, not a flame.

to restore the umark just delete the umark file in the mod your using and it will no longer remove the sub marker when you enable the mod.

1 The U-mark question's been covered.
2 Can't answer the camera problem, although the last time I told my doctor that it hurt when I did something, he told me not to do it again:rotfl:
3 If you want skins, go to FooFighters Silent Hunter 4 sub skins page (http://www.oldsmobile1958.com/silenthunter/) or Kill Flags Mod (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=122870)
4 skwas (after he finishes developing S3D) has said that he his going to take on something similar to SH3 commander. Others are doing their part in "rescuing this sim from its low level of complexity".
5 You'd have to ask the folks who designed the 3D models why, in your eyes, the models look like "street thugs".

Some of these issues you are having(umark, camera out of sector) should be taken to the modder that created TM. This is how things get fixed.
Subskins, check the SH4 mod section. There are plenty of skins to be had at a really cheap price.....free;)
Commander, someone was looking into it but I think is on the back burner.
Unshaven crew with poor nail hygiene...this is the developers rendition of US crewmen. Might want to inquire with them as to why they look like hoodlums.
Key word on your last paragraph....YEARS. How about giving some more time to the guys modding the game now? Not to much to ask for is it? Took over a year to work out the original game bugs. Every new patch created breaks something in the mod that was created previously. The modders had to start over 5 times! Not sure why you have apologized to Neal. He did not make the game or mod it for that matter. He is the site owner. If you have to apologize for something, might not want to post! Rethink what you want to say. Post it in the correct thread. Again, go to the TM thread and state the problems you are having. This is the only way for resolution for your particular problem with the mod. Eventually all this will come out of the wash. That is my legitimate opinion.
