It is with great sadness that we report the loss of Kptlt. Lutz Jamsen and his boat, U-45. Whilst returning home to Wilhelmshaven in triumph, U-45 struck a German mine and was lost with all hands. Early reports indicate that the esteemed Kptlt. was making macaroni and cheese when the tragedy occured. He is survived by his brother, Wolfgang Jamsen, who just set sail in U-48, and his mother, Frauline Hildagardefreckenunschergrettaolga Jamsen.
We lament the loss of Lutz Jamsen.
We recommend that his mother, Frauline Hildagardefreckenunschergrettaolga, tell her surviving son that British mines are less efficient than German mines. It is best to stay away from minefields regardless of national origin. Mine kabooms are best to be avoided.

Do not let the cook run the boat while
you are cooking. Obvious that the cook
resented the KPLt in the gally....
And his family will recieve the bill for the replacement, fuel and cost per hour of the union minelayers.....
