Welcome aboard, ObieWan, ah, errrrrr, I mean Kinobi:)
What Mr M wanted you to do was click on the link to his modding tutorial below his signature. You can get to the same place by clicking here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=128825)
After that, try to read around some of the threads that start with [WIP]. That means work in progress. You can usually see how some of the files are changed in those threads. Then, when you really get adventurous, download S3D (see it's thread in the sticky section at the top of the forum) and start poking around in the files to see what's in there and what changes in a mod from the stock files.
Then, make sure and get the name of a good psychiatrist and reserve about 3 months worth of therapy in advance:rotfl:
Are you being funny?

If you mean the generic mod enabler this is what I do, Open up the download for the enabler. It will have a few read me files and the icon to open the actual enabler. I put a copy of this icon in the main SH4 program folder. Now, in this same main SH4 program folder right click and create a new folder and name it MODS. This is were you will load any mods you wish to use. Once you have loaded this folder up with mods, click the mod enabler icon you placed in there and activate the mods you see listed. Close it out to deskstop and start the game.

Actually he is just kidding :yep: All that he means is that one you go down
the road of applying mods, etc ,you will need some form of counselling
because this place can become quite addictive.
But we all love it if that makes any sense  By the way, welcome to SUBSIM
Also, for an Illustrated Guide on how to use the Mod Enabler ( JSGME ) see the link
below my sig.

As RDP said, yes, parts of my comments were meant to be humorous. That's what I do. I apologize
A) For misunderstanding your question
B) For making humorous statements that were open for interpretation in the wrong way
C) For not being much help
I sincerely hope you got your problem solved and enjoy your time here at SubSim.:sunny:
By the way, being a little more specific about the difficulty you are having will go a long way in helping people answer your questions.

well in all my mods, the folder you use is the folder inside the first folder.
as example:
my websters upgraded deck gun mod is in a zip file, after unzipping it you will have a folder by the same name inside of it along with the read me that tells about the mod and what it does.
to use the mod you place that second folder inside of the jsgme "mods" folder then it will install and work.
jsgme has a specific file order it has to follow in order for mods to work right.
when you open a mod it should be: mod name/ data/ and so on, if it reads mod name/ mod name/ data it will not install.
as for your question: "but what doe sit mean when i should put the Enabler file in the sub folder"
if i understand your question correctly, they are saying open the main ubisoft folder and the folder inside will say silent hunter 4, that is where you place the jsgme to run it, then open the jsgme the first time to let it install the "mods" folder in the game directory that you use to place your mods in.
