I vote for a KPO add-on with the new programs added, but a half a vote for the remake with the new programs. Does that make any sense? Never mind, don't answer that question:rotfl:.

Your half vote will be used in the event of a tie. :p

Gotta make it as close to what would have been heard back then. Anything else is the watered down version. The margarine of radio. The diet coke of radio. Give us the full monty Fred! It's the only way to listen to radio!

NBC was a U.S. radio broadcast network during WWII. They're a TV network now. KPO was the NBC affiliate in San Francisco during the war, and is the station I used when I created my radio mod with NBC programming. KFI was the NBC affiliate in Los Angeles. I have a way to create historically accurate program times for the KFI station, but not for the KPO one I've already done. So I'm asking if I should redo the KPO station and turn it into KFI, or just create an add-on for the KPO station. The rest of the poll is explained in the first post.

I agree. But since I'd have to change KPO to KFI, and that would require downloading the entire mod all over again, I thought it would be better if I asked the users which they preferred. I don't want to tick everyone off by just doing it, then essentially saying, "deal with it.":nope:
BTW, I've posted a copy of this poll on the UBI SH4 forum, and will combine the votes from the two. So if anyone is a member of both, please only vote in one.

Well, would it be possible to add it as an add-on with the appropriate changes in the radio ini file so that everything gets added accordingly, and the station ID is corrected for the add-on?
I myself wouldn't be bothered by re-downloading the files. Heck, anytime there's an updaye to the gamefiles, I usually have to reload the game anyways which requires wiping the slate clean and starting again anyways. So it's no issue for me personally.:up:

This is one of those times when I outsmarted myself. :know: I use KPO as the folder name for the station. I did consider using NBC when I first created it, but thought that someone else in the future might create another NBC programing station, and use that for their folder name and thus creating a conflict. So I went with the station call letters.
Now that I've bragged on how smart I was, it's time to admit I'm also an idiot! :doh: While typing this reply it occurred to me that the folder name doesn't really matter anyway. All that really matters is what shows up when you mouseover the radio. And as you suggested, that can be fixed by just changing the radio.ini info. For example, change this:
Name=KPO San Francisco 38.41
To this:
Name=KFI Los Angeles 38.41
Since the vote right now is going towards an add-on, I will just include different channel info for the radio.ini file in the readme with it.
However, I do still want votes on what type update I should do. I realize now I didn't explain why a remake was an option beyond using the KFI listings. Rather than do so here, I'm going to edit the first post after posting this.

Don't worry Fred, we've all sufferred the the "can't see the forest through the trees" at times. I just did it with my boat, thanks to my bro, I just save about 1,200.00 by modifying the winshield base instead of having one built for the above price mentioned. I took some sheet aluminum, figured out the angles, and made a ledge that follows the sweeping angle of the original unit, and will also serve as a splash guard to a point. Cost in aluminum sheet, about 25.00 and 3 hours of my time. My son even got an education in metal fabrication. I let him do the measuring and angle solutions to get a vertical sweep of 35 degrees, and horizontal sweep of 25 degrees from amidships to the gunwhale.
So sometimes a second set of eyes is a great help. Keeps us from professional myopia.
