Any of you guys thinking about modding the game to enable these kind of missions?
Fleet boats did it quite a bit during the war.........

We are only able to work with the 'contoller' which are added in the engine and *.dll files. Unchangeable for modders.
A controller controls the properties of a weapon or a object in the game.
We got as weapons:
Shells
Torpedoes
Depth charges
and Bubble generators
Mines are an own unit and not transportable, or ejectable.
It would be great!...But impossbile without SDK and persons who can work with it.

Can't a Torpedo with a very very low speed work?

Since the mine is absolutely useless as a player weapon
I have to disagree, imagine a DD following you close behind, you release a mine at 500 ft BOOOM!!!! I'd love to be able to take out a DD without wasting a torpedo, even a homer.

When playing shells of fury a while ago I tried to set a few mines in the path of a coming boat. Hard to tell exactly where i'ts going to be, I didn't strike lucky too often... and I had to place like 4 mines minimum to ensure a hit :o
but I'd still love to have mines as some jap subs carried them anyways.
