View Full Version : Balz Does it on GWX 2.1!
Leutenant Kalb writes:
We have been in what Balz calls the black hole for two weeks, busy sinking ships.
Balz took to wearing his tea cozy on his head.
We sat in the mess when Bernard asked, "What is the correct expression, one ship one torpedo, or one torpedo one ship?"
"One ship one torpedo," Balz growled.
"I like one torpedo one ship better."
"You don't understand, it is one torpedo per ship, not one ship per torpedo. Alles klar?"
"Well, you can't fire one torpedo at two ships so one torpedo one ship is correct." Bernard argued.
"You imbecile. When I say One ship one torpedo that's what I mean."
Bernard crossed his arms. "Herr Kaleun. you don'y follow your own rules."
"What do you mean?"
"On some ships you use the the deck gun and no torpedoes."
I retired to my bunk to write a message to BDU, 106,000 BRT, returning to base. Not too bad for a type VII patrol.

Dear Admiral, kindly get the Ritter Kreutz with some thingies ready for my return to Willhelmsaven. Like the great hero of the Kriesmarine that I am I have sunk lots of ships belonging to the enemy. When I return to base, I feel the need to parade in front of adoring crowds. Having a Ritterkreutz will enhance my parading at the main railway station where people from all over Germany will be able to say there goes Balz, the greatest hero of the Kriegsmarine. It would be embarrasing not to have the award hanging from my neck. Especially if thingies like oak leaves, swords and diamonfs are missing.
Oh, by the way, I sunk 106K of enemy shipping on this patrol. Could have sunk a lot more if Bernard wasn't aboard. Is it possible to send him as naval attache to Bolivia? (I am sure no higher posting in the world is possible).
Very hoochie-woochie yours,
Kptlt. Johan Sebastian Balz.

Letum invented the fire sig after the server caught fire and Subsim went down for a few days.
