I don't want this to become an argument thread, but just hear me out.(@ Moderators - you can close this thread if you feel it needs to be) But I sence that greediness brought forth the closure of an important and VERY popular thread.

There is a sticky in the SH3 Mods Workshop called " List of Silent Hunter III Mods & Utilities(Updated June 12, 2008 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132596)" made by Onkel Neal, that should be good enough. As long as someone has their mod in that list, they don't need their own sticky. I say this in fairness to everyone, otherwise every community modder would want their own sticky, and then Kaleuns like Phoenix get offended when their request is denied and someone else is accepted.

I am sure this is why RDP is trying to have this looked into, just because he is moderator does not mean he has a magic wand. I am sure he has mixed feelings about this subject, and does not want to do something to hurt anybody's feelings. He is a moderator, but also our friend, so try putting yourself in his shoes.

I just felt this needed to be addressed.

Thank you,
Tudds

It is simple as this, Neal does not want a bunch of stickies. The thought behind that is, mods that are of great interest are posted on everyday and will always be at the top of the list as a result. Being Neal is the owner and ultimate responder, this is the way it has to be. Personally, I like have all MAJOR mods stickied. These are the ones most members are looking at. If a smaller mod appears and has great promise, 9 times out of 10 it ends up in a major mod becoming part of the whole. I also like one stickie that contains the links to all the mods. All at your finger tips. Upkeep is the hardest for moderators because we do not see all mods new or used to add. Our only request is a short PM with the link and we will be glad to add. Just attempting to keep a clean house.
