Nothing is more annoying than running GWX and OLC and seeing this lame target mark through the scopes and UZO whem watching your shells impact... Anyone know how to remove the mark, i looked with no luck....

LOL, you sure you know what your talking about?

If anyone knows the name of the file creating the target during deck gun attacks, that would be great thanks!

Maybe you should tell to your crew ; Hold Fire! and so the small icon under the ship while watching in binocular vision will dissapear??

When you lock target open fire, there is an upside triangular mark which appears near the ship, while viewing through binocs or UZO. I simply ask if there is a way to remove them...

If you want to up your post count by adding a silly comment, not even reading my post, well I cant control that. Simple question, I feel stupid for asking now. Thought this was a pretty helpful place, until I posted. I'll go back to being a just a reader.

DDrgn.... Don't go away mad sometimes us vets forget what it was like to make our 1st few post and have some fun with the new guys.

This forum is the most accepting and fun forum I have found. The modding skills and level of knowledge are just unreal and the way we increase our knowledge base is by encouraging new blood to ask question and who know your basic question may lead to a fix of a problem that has plagued us for years.

I would make a friendly suggestion about using the search function which is very helpful ...you may well find your answer already here.

Well good luck and which either way you use the forum is up to you but have fun

I remember a humourous thread with the adventures of the red triangle and cartoons of him but I can't seem to find it... I seem to remember the great Dowly had something to do with it... anyone? I have a feeling it was because it was way back in the days of SHII when it had its own board... and there was talk about "oh no not the red triangle again in SHIII PLEASE NOOOO!!!" (or something like that, hehe)

Other than that, there's probably a few hundred threads about this topic but I found one that might help in particular for you... scroll down to Sawdust's "GameplaySettings.cfg" advice: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=84245

WELCOME ABOARD, ddrgn!:sunny:

Don't worry about the odd comment, we all do it from time to time. "You don't have to be crazy to post here, but it helps."

What level are you playing at? As I recall the targetting triangles go away at higher realism levels. At least I don't recall seeing one for a long time. On the other hand, these days I don't shoot the gun myself, as I consider that to be unrealistic.

If I'm wrong, and there is a mod fix, just hang tight - sooner or later someone will come along who does know the answer.

Hey Guys,

Thanks a lot....

I play 100% realism, with GWX 2.1 and OLC 2.4.2

I dont use the gun myself, thats why when I am peaking through the binocs at my target I see this damn triangle target, same you would see with automatic targeting.

I will seach the forums a little harder for the answer...

If any body has a link or direction, I would still appreciate it.

My confidence in this wondeful forum has been renewed, thanks again guys!
