Hello all! I'm new to the SH series with 4, but am enjoying my experience thusfar.

One things that has made me a bit upset is that there appears to be no way to change campaign realism as with war patrols/quick missions. This is a bit disappointing, because I really liked how I could modularly enable a setting once I felt I was ready to start playing with it. Are there any mods that allow you to edit the meanings of "easy/normal/hard/very hard", or does anyone know what file to edit?

I tried editing [Data\UPCData\GamePlaySettings.upc], which I thought would work, but there was no change observed.

To note, I'm currently only running with RSRDC, which I heard improves the game significantly. I'm running the newest version (and so I also have U-Boat Missions).

To adjust the campaign difficulty while in the office at the start of a patrol, click on the screen and drag left and in the bookcase there is a radio . Click on this and you change the realism settings there .

Exactly what I needed, thanks!

Out of curiosity, when you run out of fuel, is there any recourse?

No . about 9 knots is best i think . I play with RFB1.5 and RSRDC and ahead standard is the go . You need to work out your fuel calculations just like in real life or tick the unlimited fuel box in the realism settings . over>
