Russian Borei class sub

I found a nice 3ds model of the latest class of russian missile sub : the Borei class, it was made by inchy101, I edited it in 3ds and sized it for SH4 (same size as november class).

Curious to why the con presents a flat surface to the waterflow, instead of the more common aerodynamic shape ?

the tower has a teardrop shape, not flat. It looks like whoever made this model used blueprints of what people thought the sub was gonna be like, here's the real one :
