View Full Version : installation order?
hi,
i have downloaded both the RFB mod and the ROW/PE mod, as well as RSRD.
however, there's a problem:
on the stickied RFB release thread, it says:
"Without NSM the order would be:
PE or W_Clear environment mod
RFB
RSRD
OM"
which i understand as install PE first, then rfb, then RSRD.
however, on the ROW/PE thread, it says:
Can I use RFB with this mod?
Yes you can, but be sure to enable this mod AFTER RFB.
which means first RFB, then PE...
which should i follow?

its simple, just take it one step at a time:
1 rsrdc is to be loaded last so thats easy just forget about it for now
2 you have to do rfb and row pe so see what rfb says on installing row pe
3 after rfb and row pe are installed following rfb instructions, then you instal rsrdc
the only thing to remember about rsrdc is to load it last after all other mods are installed, then install the rsrdc patch for the mod version your using (without rfb or tm installed, with tm installed, or with rfb installed - tm - rfb)
thanks for the info!
so now, its ROW/PE, RFB, RSRD, the patch, etc.
and in a separate install,
ROW/PE, TM, RSRD, patch, etc.
by the way, i thank the modders for putting in sh3 key settings, as well as the commands that sh4 lost-weather report, max range at current speed, closest target, etc. makes the game much more familiar now!

one little bugaboo about rsrdc is you cant add any mods after its installed or it has issues so no matter what you add remember to uninstall rsrdc patch then uninstall rsrdc then instal anything you want.
then install rsrdc then rsrdc patch, because they always must be the last things you install
