Cross your finger and we might have BLOOM in DW

Check this thread guys. A smart Russian ass has come out with way to get bloom effect on our dx 8 based and dx 9 based games which previously didn't support bloom.

DW is using dx8 based file so make sure you download the correct dx 8 file.
I tried it and the opening now has the bloom effect which is just beautiful.

But you would soon find problems as you get to the menu. When playing the small window would also pose problem. I havent' figured out how to squash these problems.
Perhaps it is as simple as changing setting or perhaps it is not possible at all.

At least we see the bloom effect in the opening. LOL:rotfl:

That would be pretty awesome. I believe a similar mod was done for Ghost Recon 1 not too long ago. It would indeed be lovely to have bloom in DW, would add an extra layer of eye candy thats for sure.:D

I tried using the files for DW. The good news is that the Bloom is there but apparently the windowed frame portion of the game and the menu are corrupted.

I have no idea how to get rid of the corrupted menu and windowed frame.

Anybody else got better luck?

The files work like a charm on Lock On, FB(though not for widescreen resolution) and Steel Beasts Pro PE.

It also works in Wings over Vietnam/Europe though the fps would take a noticeable dip.
