i started as early in GWX 1.2 as i can start my campaign. every country is still neutral (green citynames on map) WHEN CAN I ATTACK? the fat targets are passing by on port and starboardside in the english channel man this is frustrating:damn::damn::damn: hehehe
funny thing is i sendet a statusreport and bdu says wir brauchen mehr erfolge (we need more accomplishments) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You started in August '39. The 2nd World War began on the 1st of September.

i am almost a month at see doing nothing only watching ships passing by:damn::damn::damn::damn: all countrys are still neutral and when i attack i have a serious problem (courtmartial) today there passed a large british cruiseliner what could i do??? i ate my skippershat:rotfl:(my plan is to stalk the french coast when the war starts) i already patrolled my given sector

You should start on Aug 1st 39.

Try a career with the 1st or 2nd Flotilla and use SH3 Commander set at 20 days in base after patrol. (until you get better aquainted with the game....GWX2.1 I hope)

After 4 days you should receive a radio message recalling you to base.

If you have chosen the 7th Flotilla to begin with you need to use the telephone and request a transfer to the 1st or 2nd Flotilla.

Your next patrol should commence on 24th August which allows you plenty of time to travel to your patrol grid....just as it was done in RL prior to the commencement of hostilities.

ok jimmie by the way a friend told me about AI sub (IXB type) helping him in a convoyattack west of Gibraltar WAS HE JOKING?????? THE AI SUB SANK ONE SHIP AND DAMAGED ANOTHER:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

AI subs do that. But because they can't dive they also get destroyed quickly.

AI subs do attack convoys whilst on the surface but only with their deck guns.

It would be a Type VII though.
