Playing GWX 2.1 August 1940, got my brand new VIIC for my first patrol U 93 7th flotilla.
After 10 days at sea Ive seen bugger all the weathers been fine up to now.

Ive just come across a convoy only the weathers realy deterioated, realy its the worst weather ive ever seen in SHIII!
High winds waves as high as houses lashing rain and fog...I cant see jack s**t.
Only way I can keep track of the convoy is by diveing and useing the hydrophones.

My question is should I try and attack or keep shadowing the convoy and let the weather ease off?
I think its imposible to attack on surface due to poor visability and not much better dived with the high waves. ill proberly end up with a conning tower breach and a destroyer on my ass!!

I would wait if I was you a bit longer, maybe the weather will clear a bit.
The visibillity is the problem, unless you wan't to fire a salvo blind and try your luck

Yeah I dont think I will have any choice the convoy is nearing the Irish sea, and the weather is not looking like its changeing. Ive been shadowing the convoy for over 40 hours now.

Don't rely on a weather change.....repeated use of the hydrophones should enable you to plot a reasonable estimated course. Get ahead of them and lie in wait.

Once they are near you it is up to you how to proceed with the attack, again by plotting approximate position or chancing a close up periscope snapshot.

Either way, if you attack, ensure you are submerged. http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif
