That would have been a nasty April fools trick to play on the community.

My explanation for the AI subs not diving is that they are all under the command of rotten sea skimmers. :arrgh!:

I'm not certain who the April Fool would have been....what with the 'This is where I am' halo, the stealth meter and the '100% accuracy guaranteed' tfc :hmm:

LOL

Sadly IA boats canīt dive when detected an enemy and of course donīt make evasive maneuvers.:nope:

they can dive with two fishes but itīs not a challenge.

i had with sh1 some memorable events one night when i detected a japanese submarine with the radar i and plot a course thinking that it was a sampan, i donīt realised what it was until he dived dissapearing from the radar screen.

RN submarines sank 12 enemy submarines for the loss of three of their own.

The most unique sinking IMO and possibly the only ever submerged sinking

was that of U-864, sunk by HMS Venturer

A dutch submarine (British T class) scored the sinking of U168

As HNLMS Zwaardvisch
Zwaardvisch served for much of the war in the Pacific Far East, operating against the Japanese. She sank six sailing vessels, including the Kim Hup Soen and two Malaysian sailing vessels. She also sank the Japanese guardboat Koei Maru, the Japanese oceanographic research vessel Kaiyo Maru No.2 and the Japanese minelayer Itsukushima. She also damaged the Japanese minelayer Wakataka. On 6 October (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_6) 1944 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1944) she sank the German submarine U-168.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Talent_(P322)#cite_note-1)
She had a relatively quiet post war career, being renamed Zwaardvis in 1950. She was decommissioned on 11 December (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_11) 1962 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962) and was sold to be broken up for scrap on 12 July (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_12) 1963 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1963).
