How deep have you gone with them?
I got to 320 and decided that was far enough......no hull damage.......
hi,
Same as you but a little deeper!!
I got to 360 and decided that was far enough......no hull damage.......
working on the fact that US sub design depth was 1.5 (+ a bit for safety) test depth;
246+123 = 369ft (+ the bit!!) sould be safe, but the "bit" is the guess work!! - as each hull is different.

US subs could go deeper then you might think. Certainly more deeper then i thought! It just wasn't commonly done, so there isn't much info on how deep they really could go. Suffice to say, the crush depth on a porpoise is deeper then you might think in TM, although i will say, not too much deeper then what your doing now. :88)
At any rate, crush depths are going deeper, as cited by first hand accounts:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=136893
However.... while im speculating on the crush depths of the various subs based on the three "samples" of deep diving i do have, its not going to be as deep as i hinted at in the linked thread, but it will be deeper then what it is now - within reason. Also, crush rates are going to be nearly doubled from their current settings. So while TM is forgiveable when reaching crush depth now, it will be less so later on when i get done with the next revision. The increased crush rate is basically a gameplay balance adjustment given the extra free reign you'll be given with the increased crush depths.
