Ahoy Captains! During searching the forums for new mods I found a screen with an overworked torpedo fire controll panel. It seems that the green ligths had been reworked. ( See screenshot) Does anyone of you know if and where I can dowload this reworked torpedo fire controll panel?

I don't know but it look good!

I was thinking, could we use the one with 4 tubes front and 4 back, rename them upper and lower torpedo room, so as to have eight buttons to push for the Sen Toku's eight forward tubes ???

You can make 8 forwardtubes; you can make 100 forward tubes.
but the german hud has only 6 buttons. which means you have to switch the tubes per 'w' button.

can you add switches to the german hud ? replace it by the one (dont remember which) which has foour fore tubes and four aft ?
so that tha 4 aft would actually fire forward ?

need eight tubes for the Sen Toku...

#1 - making the text message window start transparent is easy, all you do is change one value in the "menu_1024_768" file found in "Data/ Menu" file to make the black background of the orders box dissappear.

here is what you change:

open the "menu_1024_768" file and go about a third of the way down to find this:

[G3F I260]
Name=Bkgr capture
Type=1031;Stat bmp array
ItemID=0x3F2A00FF
ParentID=0x3F2A0000
Pos=0,0,350,94
Zone= 256 764 350 94 0 1 0x3F2A0000 0.5 -1 0x3F2A00FF -0.5 1 0 0
Color=0xFFFFFF80 <<<<<< change the last two numbers to read 00
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/menu/data/black.tga
Crop 0=0,0,0.5,0.5
MatFlags=0x1
TexFmt=0x0
Drag=false
BmpState=1
NeedFocus=true
SelOne=false
IdGroup=0
StatesColors=0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF

you want to change the "Color=0xFFFFFF80" to read "Color=0xFFFFFF00" and that is all you have to do.
(any mods your using with a "menu_1024_768" file in them you will need to open that file and make the same change there.)

#3 - i know that captain cox did a lot of resizing of things so check out his work, i know he tried modding the control panel for 1.4 but ran into too many issues with 1.4 button locations not being movable so he gave up trying to mod it.

#6 & 7 - the green buttons is from an old "green buttons" mod lol. jimimadrid did it i think.

now there is the menu maker mod tool to do that for you. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=131625
