need help installing RFB

ok call me dumb but i DL the rar files and now what... do i need some spec. program to install these SOB's cause im ready to sail already... someone please help me im not good at all this tech nonsense

Adding Mods to the stock game does require a bit of study. First off make a copy of your stock SH4 and change the folder name and tuck it away in a dark corner of your HD. Insurance.

Then search here for a program called JSGME. DL and install. Then you will need Win.rar to unpack the mod files. This is free just do the google thing. You will then grab the RFB folder and drop it into the JSGME window and let it install into the MOD folder.

Now to enable the MOD, highlight with mouse then hit the activate button sit and wait when activated you are done.

If confused ask more questions, you want to do it right the first time or else your install is hosed.

and also is it just me or does the water around the bow seem to act like jello and move odd and fast... maybe its just me but the water looks strange.

one great thing about this mod is the fix that makes the deck crew non-transparent... god damn that bugged me. also i know the uboats inside and out but what is the best speed to gas milage opreation for the american subs?

Stock issue, RFB does not touch environmental stuff.

Try 9 knots when cruising to your assignment. Depends on the boat, on the S-Boats Standard Bell will get you pretty good endurance. The Fleet Boats have long legs.

If you mean the German voices are actuall in English, you're right. A major oversight on the Dev's part. However, our community modders come to the rescue: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=131792&highlight=german+voice Just install via JSGME, but be sure this is the last mod enabled. When you want a German campaign, simply enable the mod. Want American? Simply disable again;)
