Disable the Stopwatch

Hello fellow skippers,i have recently made the transition from SH3 to SH4 however i am finding myself frustrated with the stopwatch popping up indiscriminately every few minutes.Anybody know a workaround or a way to disable it pls?

Ok - stupid question - as there are mods that CHANGE the stopwatch... so I assume its in a file somewhere - what happens if you make a blank file for it instead?

Graphic mods are not my strong point... ok well no mods really are but I know dittly about graphix.
