When i import dds files into Photoshop (using the dds plugin), make edits and save them, the textures in game come out screwed up. I even save them with mip maps but no luck .

How are people editing the dds files with photoshop?

I convert them to PNG with the DDS Converter utility (Google for it), save my work in PNG, and then I convert them back into DDS.

download the Dxtbmp http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/ and install it , then look up whatever file to find out whether it is dxt1 or 3 or 5 etc . Open in photoshop and the Nividia read properties popup will appear . Load using default sizes and click on ok . Edit your .dds file then click on save as . Make sure the format says .dds then click save . when the nividia dds format v8.23 popup appears click on the arrow and change it to whatever the Dxtbmp program said the .dds file was . Say for example it said it was Dxt3 . Change it to that and make sure its set to 2d texture and generate mip maps is on . Click on save and thats all there is to it .
