Ok guys, I am trying to install PE3 and ROW sound v9. Am using JSGME v2 something (the newest version as of 29 april). All the mods appear to enable correctly except I only get prompted to overwrite files when I do the sunglare mod option. None of the others prompt me to overwrite. When I run the game I dont hear any of the nice sounds like the crash dive sequence and battle stations. This mod worked for me before, but I disabled all mods and installed PE3 then re-enabled ROW sounds. Now I cant seem to get it to work.
I am running SH4 1.5

After DLing the mods into their own folder I then extracted them into the same folder. I then copied the extracted folders PE3 #1, PE3 #2b, PE3 #3, the natural sinking mechanics mod, the sunglare mod and ROW sound, into the MODS folder created by JSGME in the Sh4 root directory.
I ran JSGME as Administrator and normally. Again, it appeared that the mods enabled correctly in JSGME and they show up on the enabled mods side of the screen. Its just that, at least, ROW sound is not functioning which make me wonder if the other installed correctly.

Any help?

Yes, you have to go into the main folder and then copy and paste from there the mods you want. Installing as is won't work.

So in the main folder there is the main PE install, and 3 choices involving the Special Effects Mods ( choose only 1 of these ), and the Sub Roll and Caustics Mod. You copy and paste these folders into the JSGME Mods Folder.

In that main folder you will see an options folder. There are others in there as well. Again you need to go in and decide what mods you want and copy and paste into JSGME accordingly. Warning, for the Diverate Mod, you need to go one step further and go into that folder and copy ------> diverate into JSGME.

Bottom line for a mod to work it should read( this folder-file structure ): ROW Sounds(Mod Name)\data\sound....
This is what ROW Sounds ^^ should look like. Hope this helps :yep:

Edit: Another thing, you will only get a prompt when mods overwrite one another. If a mod is just modifying stock files, you will not get this.

Thanks for the input. Those are the steps Ive been following and I believe PE3 has enabled correctly. Its just that the ROW sound mod is not activating which made me wonder about the other stuff.

I noticed in the ROW sounds that the file structure is ROW Sounds/Row Sounds/Data... etc. Maybe that is what is screwing me up since the main folder is called Row sound then the next subfolder is also called ROW sounds. :hmm: Thing is this mod worked just fine the first time I enabled it, but after disabling and re-enabling it doesnt work for me.

You are correct. You must extract the '2nd' folder and place it into the JSGME, so it only has

ROW Sounds/Data

NOT

Row Sounds/Row Sounds/Data
